xxxx MINT Gillette Big Fellow Shaving Kit, nothing in this shaving kit has been replated, it is completely ORIGINAL with Case and Blade Box. This is a great Silver Plated Big Fellow. A fantastic "MINT" xxxx Gillette Big Fellow with Original Case and Blade Box. The razor is stamped with Nxxxx53 making it from early xxxx. The silver plating on the razor is in MINT condition and shines as if it just came off the Gillette assembly line. The teeth are all perfectly straight.
There are NO stress fractures in the handle, which is usual in this type of hollow handle Gillette. This piece makes for a great everyday shaver or an excellent collector's piece. The blade box is also in MINT condition with no plate loss, dents or scratches. Also included is a NOS (new old stock) box of Gillette Blue Blades still in the Original cellophane wrapper.
The condition of the wooden case is one of the best I have seen in 45 years of collecting. There are no scratches or dents in the beautiful wood that makes up this case. The button to open the case works as it should, the lid closes tightly and evenly. The case is in Almost Mint condition, there is a small amount of plating missing on the hinges. This is absolutely a magnificent piece of Gillette history. Please see the pictures to ascertain the true condition of this beautiful collectible item.
